Easy Win For Vikings Over New Somerset Team

The MoValley Vikings defeated the Somerset County Miners, 86-0 yesterday and even though the score may not show it, the miners played a good game and showed some flashes of really nice plays. But the reigning champs balanced offensive attack and swarming defense was just too much to much for the 2023 expansion team Miners to handle in the shutout.

Antawane "A1" Davis had another great game throwing 4 touchdowns to 3 different receivers while only suiting up for the first half. Sean Steave, Malik Breon, Dane Bright, Devin Clark, and Jamal Albro all had touchdowns as with the former 3 guys getting receiving TDs and the latter getting in the end zone on the ground. Even Sheldon Jones got in on the scoring with a high IQ electric 45 yard punt return touchdown after he caught the other team napping. Lastly Zach Hoy had another massive physical game with a safety Sack, and 10 tackles.

After the game, Coach Marlow had this to say, "My guys showed up ready to play. We came out firing on all cylinders and won big but we were expected to. Next week will be a real test for us."

As for next week, the Vikings travel to Bedford to face the Buffaloes.

During the game Viking QB Billy Thompson ran into the end zone, out the gate and into the stands where he proposed to his girlfriend Leigh Ashley.
